Privacy policy
This policy describes how Shorts Factory Analytics accesses, uses, stores, and shares Google user data.
Operator and audience
Shorts Factory Analytics is operated by Markeljan for the management of owner-controlled YouTube channels. It has no public signup and does not provide accounts or services to the public. Questions about this policy can be sent to markeljan19@gmail.com.
Google data the app accesses
With the owner's explicit Google authorization, the app uses the read-only youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly scopes. It accesses:
- the selected YouTube channel's identifier, title, and read-only channel identity information;
- video identifiers and report dates returned by the YouTube Analytics API; and
- available performance measurements such as views, engaged views, likes, comments, shares, subscribers gained, average view duration, and average view percentage.
The app does not use these scopes to upload, edit, schedule, publish, or delete YouTube content.
How the data is used
The data is used only to verify that a connection belongs to the intended owner-managed channel, retrieve its performance reports, display private operational metrics, compare videos and same-age cohorts, and improve the owner's content workflow.
Google user data is not used for advertising, public profiles, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling. It is not sold.
Google user data is not used to train general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Storage and security
OAuth refresh credentials are stored only on the owner's local computer in ignored, owner-only files. They are not placed in the public website, source repository, analytics dashboard snapshot, or browser storage.
Metrics are retained in the owner's private local project. A minimized operational copy may be processed by Cloudflare solely to host and secure the owner's private dashboard behind identity-based access controls. Cloudflare does not receive OAuth refresh credentials through this workflow. This public information site contains no Google user data, uses no cookies, and runs no client-side scripts.
Sharing and disclosure
The app does not sell Google user data or share it for advertising or marketing. Data is disclosed only to infrastructure providers acting on the owner's behalf when needed to host, secure, or operate the private service, or when disclosure is required by law. Those providers receive only the information needed for that operational purpose.
Retention, revocation, and deletion
Google user data and local OAuth credentials are retained until the owner deletes them or they are no longer needed for the purposes above.
The owner can revoke the app's Google access at any time from Google Account permissions. Revocation stops future API access but does not by itself erase stored records. To delete the data, the owner removes the local credential and metrics files and then refreshes or removes the active private dashboard snapshot. For help with deletion, contact markeljan19@gmail.com.
Infrastructure providers may retain limited backup or security-log copies for the periods described in their own retention policies, after which those copies expire through the providers' ordinary deletion processes.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Shorts Factory Analytics' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before Google user data is used for the new purpose. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
