What the app does
The desktop app verifies the identity of an owner-selected YouTube channel, retrieves that channel's YouTube Analytics reports, and presents the resulting performance metrics in a private control room. The reports help the owner compare videos and same-age publishing cohorts.
This is private personal software for the owner's own channels. It does not offer public accounts, a public dashboard, advertising, or analytics services to other people.
Read-only Google access
The app requests only these two Google OAuth scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonlyto verify the selected channel's identity and read its YouTube account data.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonlyto read YouTube Analytics reports for the selected channel's videos.
The app cannot upload, edit, schedule, publish, or delete YouTube content through these permissions.
Terms of use
Shorts Factory Analytics is an owner-only personal tool. Access is limited to the owner and to YouTube channels the owner is authorized to manage. Use of the app is subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
Privacy
The privacy policy explains the Google data the app accesses, how it is used and stored, the limited operational processing involved, and how authorization and locally stored data can be removed.
